Lately, I have been just trying to survive. The workload is kind of killing me. I am trying to take no so many classes in winter. I have an appointment with an adviser in MGH tomorrow to settle it out. Tonight I am going to finish the reading for English. But the past few days I can only read a page or two before stopping. Unless I am totally understanding the author wrong, he says you get the disability I have after autism. Well, autism starts a year in or so. And my disability happens at birth or a person gets a hardcore blow to the head. So, I would like the author to explain that one. I contacted my prof about this inaccuracy and she said that potion of the book was relayed to him by an autistic person. BUT if you wrote a book and were reporting something, wouldn't you get more than one source?
I am currently working on learning a new program at work, so I can be the specialist for it. I made it about a third of the way through the manual, the manual is only about 525 pages. WOO...That's all for now

Lalala

Microsoft was pretty cool yesterday. But of course the four hours I was there wasn't enough. I got there around 9:30, or so. The other guy who rode up with me and I got a little tour of the office. Then my mentor took me to a site off campus, to do some work. That was really cool, except I cannot say too much more about it. I also learned a lot about what I need to learn, but only the beginnings are touched on in CSE mid-400 lvl...::sigh:: So I have a lot of outside work to do. But no time! Unfortunately, I also didn't get to hand out my resume...

I am just sitting at work now, bored, and absolutely nothing to do. I left most of my homework on my desk in my dorm. Somebody loaded this program that is called QuickShield and it blocks all popups, and the links. So I get to hold constantly.

Today's Blog

I put my blog on the one from u-match. Here

Another week went by rather fast. I have a lot of homework, but what's new? Yesterday I said screw it and hopped into bed around 11. It was nice to get a decent amount of sleep. Unfortunately, the RoTC had morning drills that woke me around 5:45, but I finally blocked it around 6:30 or around then. I think I am going to bed soon, so I can get my refund check from the bookstore in the bank. I have to also pick up the paper for English. Then I will probably be in my room for the rest of the day.
On Monday, I get to go to skip class again, but this time I am going to Microsoft from 9 am to 2 or 3. It's job shadow, my second one there. I wonder how it will go this time, lol.

Aaaaaaaah

I decided to do a entry on here instead of my normal blog. Don't ask me why I chose this one. But, yeah, for the past few days, well, last week and so far this week I have been getting to about 2 AM. All I feel that I'm doing is constant homework. Today, I had to not go to physics, because I had a stupid meeting with some people. I found it utterly useless and all I did was sit there and get annoyed. Good times. Not too much more going on in my life, just trying to survive.

On Monday, I get to skip all my day classes, so I can go to Microsoft for the day. Tomorrow I have to work from 9- noon, then a physics lab immediately after. That is going to suck, because I have to be in by 8:45. Well that's all, but I doubt anybody will see this.

Saturday, October 18, 2003

The days just fly by, especially now that I am in the ATL on the mornings that I could be getting a few extra hours of sleep. I think that from Tuesday to Friday I got maybe 15 or so hours of sleep. There is a redo of last weekends capture the flag game, which was cancelled. So, I may go to that, it starts at 10:30 but if enough people show we begin earlier. Well, back to my lovely homework...

Monday, October 13, 2003

This weekend went by too fast, so that sucked. I got to start on physics at around 10:30, after reading all day. So, guess what I get to do today. But, of course, I am so lucky I have my night class tonight. Then tomorrow I have to work from 9:00 to noon then I have quiz section at 1:30. Nobody has or will see too much of me.

Friday, October 10, 2003

I am 100% proud to say there is still stupid people in McCarty. WOOHOOO!

Long Day

Work went fine today. Between that and lab I was pretty wiped out. So, I didn't get all the stuff I wanted done. I decided to give myself a little break. After Physics lecture, I am going to be in the study center, and doing this one part of the homework. Then around 6, I have a sandwhich making thing for NSoCS, and that will last a hour or so. Finally my night is capped off with homework.
ATTN: Saturday night there is a Capture the Flag Game at 10:30 at Drumheller Details: Here
They are also accepting donations because they use light sticks
        All are welcome, bring people

My cold is almost gone. So, now I can breathe, but have a cough. I am going to be starting working in MGH starting tomorrow, 9 to 12. After that I have a physics lab, then the usual. Come home, eat, then homework for who knows how long.
Check this out mates

Monday, October 06, 2003

This weekend went by very fast. I finished my English paper a little bit ago, and back to physics. I just need more time in the day. Hopefully class won't be to tiring tomorrow, so I can work even more. But I have that my night class at 6:30, and so that few hours between physics and English goes really fast. Hopefully I can get a few things done in that time. On Tuesday night I have an induction ceremony in Kane so I will be there most of the night.
Happy Birthday J&J

Friday, October 03, 2003

I think that I am getting a little better, I actually can sort of breathe through my nose now. But I think I am just going to go to sleep after I get out of physics. I am probably going to do that tonight unless people come by, or want me to drive somewhere. On the other hand, I could always drive over to Bartell's and pick up some meds, but I am not into taking meds for colds. Then tomorrow I get to do lots of homework. Yipee
If you go into MGH C&C, you may see a familar face. I am probably going to be start working for the ATL.

Tuesday, September 30, 2003

I think I am getting more sick. I have a ton of homework, I am going to start up again fairly soon, probably reading Arch. I just finish this mini paper for English. Has anybody started the count down yet.....Jeremy?

Monday, September 29, 2003

I am back online, and almost done unpacking. Have a little more to go. I feel like crap, I got the little cold or whatever my sis had before I left. And I am such a lucky guy that I have a 6:30 class tonight. I see how Ben had such a fun time with physics that I will too.

A Quickie

Hey...I am done packing, I think. I went around my house and got everything. Heading to bed so I can get up at 7:30-8 tomorrow.

Lucky Boy

Yesterday night I got to plunge my kitchen sink. After about a half hour, my mom looked under the sink and found some Drain-O under the sink. I also think I may have ruined a part of a connection. But it's all cool.
I talked to my dad tonight and he'll be here around 9:30 and 10, he said we'll be out of my house by 11:00. So, depending on when we leave and how fast Dad drives is when I'll get there. But I am thinking around noon or so. Well it is more like praying, if it is a while after that, Dad will get mad. Then who knows how long he'll stay. Well, that's all kiddies.

Saturday, September 20, 2003

Tonight I went up to Issaquah tonight for my uncle's birthday. I guess it was pretty nice. I had a hell of a time getting up to his house from the street. Most houses up there are raised up from the street. There is about ten steps up to the house, then another two or three into the house. I was absolutely beat. That means I am not at all in shape as I was in high school. I wish there was a bike I could use. My senior year I rode 3 to 5 miles two or three times a week.
I am heading back to school Thursday, but I'm not too happy about who is helping me. Oh well...I may yell for a few of ya to give me a hand...

Somewhat Good News

I think that my arm will be better by the time I leave next week. I have been trying to move as much as a can. I didn't use my ice at all yesterday, and only one dose of pain killer. I'm doing the same exercise about 100 times or more the past few days. YIPEE!

Sunday, September 14, 2003

Yesterday was pretty good. I am just sitting at home being pretty bored. I am going to try to find the book that lists baseball card prices, but I also have almost every Star Wars figure from Kenner/ Hasbro Toys from the 90's. I used to have a price guide for those also, but it's from 97 or 98, so its probably no good anymore. Anybody have any ideas where this info is?

Saturday, September 13, 2003

Just thought I should lay down a blog, plus also I am bored. Later on my dad is picking me up to go to his house for dinner. After that we are going to my grandma's to have some cake and ice cream. Tomorrow is actually her birthday, but I have no idea why we are doing it tonight then. That's just how my family thinks. I heard about it Thursday night, but just found out the plans this morning.
I think I wanted to post some stuff a few days ago, but I forgot to. I heard some really funny news stories this week, but didn't want to go online and look for them. One of the funniest was the people that make "Slip 'n' Slide" are sueing the makers of the new movie that David Spade is in, for not asking to use their product in the movie. What's next? Honda is going to sue another movie because the movie has that cars blown up? And they'll sue because it shows that that car can be blown up? Most people don't carry that much power in their pocket.
Another thing is that I realized is that this Christmas will suck. If you think about it, the third Lord of the Rings is coming out. But also I think the third episode of Star Wars should also be coming out. I think Episode II came out the summer before the first Lord of the Rings did, but forget when I heard the final one was coming out. But if it is this winter it will be very interesting.

Today, I went to the fair with Mom and a lady that used to work with her, whom I haven't seen in about 10 years. I wanted to go the fair for two main reasons. First, I wanted to see Becky in this Dora the Explorer costume that she wore, because today was the last day that Dora was there. The costume is just how she explained it. But each time we went by, Becky wasn't in the costume. But now for the rest of the fair Becky is the little chick and walks around with the other people in costume. The other reason I wanted to go, was because my mom ran into the guy that built my first wheelchair, which we still have in our garage. Unfortunately, he wasn't there today. So, I may go to the shop to see him. That's all for now..

Saturday, September 06, 2003

Oh yea, I also got the Lord of the Ring:Two Towers DVD and yesterday I finally finished The Hobbit, so watch out here I come. LOL....Also, my arm has been acting up today, I think it only tried to pop out of it's socket 3 times. That is considered a good day. I love this time of year!

Friday, September 05, 2003

This week went by fast. I got my haircut Wednesday, Dad came and picked me up. That was good because I haven't had a decent haircut since this time last year. Today, Ben drove down to my house in Bonney Lake. It was nice to see him. About 45 minutes after he got here I knocked my glasses off, and he steped on them! I have knelt on a pair before and Fred Meyer fixed them. So, I'll go a day or two without them. Hey I got glasses in 7th grade and didn't start wearing them until a month after I graduated high school. Ialso have another pair in one of the boxes of stuff I have from school, so I can wear those.
I am just sitting at home being a bum. Next week I am going to start going over Physics, because I am taking 121 this fall but never taken any physics in my life. I can't wait to get back at school, but I don't want the workload. I think I'll play a game on my laptop (Diablo II:LOD) then off to bed. See y'all in three weeks, unless you pay me a visit in Bonney Lake. Pz

New Look

There isn't too much going on here. Actually Sunday afternoon I totally shaved, including my full goatee. I am not sure why exactly I did it. My mom I think was bugging me some about it so I just decided to. I didn't trim it all summer, so it was 3 or 4 inches long. I look really weird and different. Most of the people that read this just met me this year, so you don't know how I looked before. This Christmas would have been my 3rd year with it, I started it just before Winter break in my Junior year of High School.
I am going to clean shave for this week or most of it, then let the goat grow again. I didn't know how much it was part of me, so I will always have one. Probably more controlled than it was this summer. Well, going to go to bed here in a minute...
When summer started, Ben was saying how he wanted to go back already. Now that I have been home for a week I want to go back also. It is just boring here, and I get annoyed almost dialy. But if I paid the $850 or whatever to stay the interm period, all I would be doing is going to the IMA probably everyday and sleeping. So, I don't know...

Saturday, August 30, 2003

Ben has started his own blog. I tried to put his link up yesterday, but it wouldn't show. After looking at my code, I forgot a "'s. This is why I don't like to code, and just fix computers. But my laptop is going belly up also, I think....For a few weeks now the power level and the volume icons have disappeared from the taskbar. Then yesterday, I hopped on it to get songs for Becky, using UW Dial-up, and I connected fine, but the icon that says 'you are connected at ______bps" wasn't on my taskbar. And when I clicked on the icon in Network Connections it asked me to log on, even though I was on...talking to my cusin during this. It is just annoying me that it is doing all of this.

Pissed

I had a post going but I just lost it. Summer quarter is over, so I get to go home!

Wednesday, August 20, 2003

Well, it's the last week of a horrendous summer quarter. Starting tomorrow I get to start/finish getting ready for both my finals on Friday and pack up to go back home. So, I won't be online that much. I'll probably get on Friday or Saturday. When I am at home, I won't blog that much if at all, because at my house in Bonney Lake I have a very crappy connection. So,who knows how long it would take, I'd also lose more than I'd get out. So, it isn't the fusteration. I may work on my site but won't put anything new up until I get back here. Maybe I'll even add pictures of the '95 Nissian Becky got for her birthday.

Not Happy

I am sick of people showing favorites. This guy in my Math 126 class is, just yea. (I don't know what to say without being to too harsh.) But the word that I really want to say is dipshit, but you didn't hear that from me. The first day he seemed like a cool guy, but by the end of the first week that he wasn't. I sit in the front row because it's easy for me to park there but also let alone I am also half blind kind of plays a small key. I don't know if it is just me, but I think that there is something going on between him and the teacher (she's only 25). Almost everyday she has a bag of chips and only offers him one nobody else. Today, he came in all pouty and nearly in tears, and when the prof came in, in front of the whole class, says "I got you e-mail [Name], I am soo sorry." Then he went on for a few minutes on how he is getting a cold and stuff. Meanwhile on Friday, the prof e-mailed me about how the class was going, and stuff. I replied back to her right after and then also sent another part this morning around 8 AM. Hmmm isn't that weird how she didn't even look at me during class. In class today we also had to do the Teacher Evals and when [Name] was done he announced that he was "filling up his water bottle", but somebody saw him just sitting outside talking with the teacher. Well, going to fold the rest of my laundry.
Today was hotter than hell, or thats what I thought. I went to OUGL for a few hours, got a little done. Then met up with one of the guys that I was assigned with for the last CS project...We sat there kinda getting no where and then my other partner e-mailed us the code completed...
I am going to start studying for finals...yay. I don't know which I am looking more foward to; getting out of my Steven's Court appartment or going home. Most of the guys from my High School are already about to start school...at WSU. A month of just sleeping and eating will be great. I know that the weather better be like this or I'll be pissed. My great-grandma lives on Lake Tapps (about 2 blocks away), so I am going to be driving over a few times. But the thought of me getting in and swimming again is quite amusing...Lets see here...my freshman to my senior year of High School I swam a little over a half mile once or twice a week, then my first year here ...nothing! WOOHOO!
I am going to fold laundry, jump in the shower, and then bed. Any takers?? FOR THE FOLDING LAUNDRY PART ONLY!

Where did the sun go?

Today went by pretty fast. I got up, got dressed, drove over to Terry Café for lunch and then went to OUGL for a few hours and yea....Came back to my room and few minutes later headed back to Terry for dinner. I ate with Andrew, he is in Lander 8th floor for Summer. Poor guy, the room is so small I can't even go in the door, LITERALLY. I think most of the people didn't think to hard while designing. Hell, look at me! I am on the top floor of a building, and I thought being one floor up at McCarty was bad. But hey what do we know, we are just little peons. When I came back from dinner, around 6:15 it was bright and sunny, now it's gone!
I upgraded to XP Pro on Friday, I didn't pay a dime, borrow a disk, or "sample it from KaZaA". It is a 100% legal copy too, muwhahahaha. I haven't seen any real changes yet, but I have a list from a buddy that states like 30 differences between Home and Professional. So, I am going to check them out. I am still waiting for NateDogg (& Mindy?) to say if he is using my room or not. He blames Mindy for not knowing yet, aaaw poor Mindy. :'( LOL My mom also sent me this e-mail, thought it was good:
YEAR OF 1903:
The year is 1903, one hundred years ago ... what a difference a century makes.
Here are the US statistics for 1903.... The average life expectancy in the US was forty-seven (47). Only 14 Percent of the homes in the US had a bathtub. Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone. A three-minute call from Denver to New York City cost eleven dollars. There were only 8,000 cars in the US and only 144 miles of paved roads. The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph. Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California. With a mere 1.4 million residents, California was only the 21st most populous state in the Union. The average US worker made between $200 and $400 per year. A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year, a dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000. More than 95 percent of all births in the US took place at home. Sugar cost four cents a pound. Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen. Coffee cost fifteen cents a pound. Most women only washed their hair once a month and used borax or egg yolks for shampoo. Canada passed a law prohibiting poor people from entering the country for any reason. The five leading causes of death in the US were: 1. Pneumonia and influenza 2. Tuberculosis 3. Diarrhea 4. Heart disease 5. Stroke The American flag had 45 stars. Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska hadn't been admitted to the Union yet. The population of Las Vegas, Nevada was 30. Canned beer, and iced tea hadn't been invented. There were no Mother's Day or Father's Day. One in ten US adults couldn't read or write. Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school. Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at corner drugstores. According to one pharmacist, "Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind, regulates the stomach and the bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health." Eighteen percent of households in the US had at least one full-time servant or domestic. There were only about 230 reported murders in the entire US. Just think what it will be like in another 100 years from now. It boggles the mind..........

The life and times

Today while glancing through the paper, I found a few good stories. Some are just so sad....
Ex-UW President is mugged (read where)
This is sad for us guys. LOL
Aside from that high quality reading I am a little disappointed about the campus lately. I haven't seen any stupid people. Since a few weeks before Spring quarter ended, I saw a few a week, literally. Yes, yes I know it is the end of Summer quarter and there isn't too many people around here in general. But I am keeping my eyes pealed!

NateDawg- I looked at Jeremy's code, and opened up an account at squakbox...I haven't gotten to customize it too much....

Sunday, August 10, 2003

Hey, I think I have the comments now working. Maybe?

Saturday, August 09, 2003

I am just doing a test to see how this thing looks. I'll get more up later maybe...

Friday, August 08, 2003

Somehow this week I managed to get to bed everyday around 2 AM, but hopefully I can make it to bed by midnight. Today, DO-IT ended.(Ask me about DO-IT later, if you want.) Anyways, one of the people who is around my age, who also helped out by being a counselor is from Florida. He has a plane trip home, that he gets picked up at 5:30 AM tomorrow. Usually, the dorm that DO-IT uses for the camp kicked DO-IT out this evening, lets them stay until mid-day Saturday. So, one of the staff members asked me if I was willing to help. Of course I did, and he is currently is sleeping. A little after he was dropped off we met up with a few people that we know from the program. We got some pizza on the AVE and then saw American Wedding at the Metro. It was okay I suppose, there were a few scenes I nearly gagged, but it's all good now. I believe that there is now like two weeks of Summer Quarter '03 left. Oh, I also talked with a CS counselor this afternoon. Well, that's all for now.

Thursday, August 07, 2003

This summer has been flying by so fast, is that good or bad? Today I got to go to my high quality wheelchair company this afternoon. I went back in November, and got new batteries, an armrest, and a joystick. When I was there then, I also said 'hey, look at the battery charger', the lovely guy was like 'oh, no it's fine, your batteries were bad'. I knew that was a lie, but didn't want to get in a fight with those idiotic people. So, from then on I was plugging it in for around 10 hours, oh by the way it's an 8 hour charger, but remember that it was perfect. Then once, I believe, they asked if I was plugging it in properly. It's not to trivial, take the normal plug-in push it into a wall socket, and the other end into the chair. OH, don't forget the all complicated task of moving the switch from OFF to ON. hmmm hard? Many areas to screw up? Yea, ok,sure.
So, what made me call in last Thursday was on Wednesday night I plugged my chair in around 9:30 PM and didn't touch it until 10:15 AM Thursday night. That's almost 13 hours and it was only half way full. Today, I am like 'look, my charger is messed up, it's supposed to be an 8 hour charge, I plug it in almost nightly for 10 hours, and it's half dead by 5 PM.' FYI-I am supposed to go roughly 15 miles per charge. Their first question, was about my batteries, and of course didn't believe me and had to do this stuff to "verify". In the end they said my charger wasn't functioning properly, WHOA NO WAY. How weird, I was right? hmm. So, I ended up getting a new charger and new rear wheels, purty.

Saturday, July 19, 2003

Wow...It has been a while since I said anything on this, but who really looks, LOL. So I have been doing the same stuff really, homework, eat, sleep, try to stay cool. Right now, it is only 84° in my room right now. Not too bad right? So far the elevator here in Steven's Court hasn't broke down for a few days now. Which is surprising, but I am glad though. But when I tried coming back from dinner tonight, the elevator over in Terry wasn't working. But at least I can drive around the building there to come back to my room.
I meant to post it, but anyway the 4th of July sucked for me. I almost got hit with a big firework. I am not talking about a Roman Candle, but a 20 shot, 5 lbs firework made by Black Cat, this thing shoots off pretty good sized mortars, and somehow it tipped over and shot all directions. Luckily, I was one of the people that was at our gathering that didn't get hit. Another thing that happened was my Dad's girlfriend tried to prove me wrong on something about the computer...bad idea.
I have just been doing homework and stuff all day or at least trying to...

Thursday, July 03, 2003

This week went pretty fast. I have just been just trying to with the heat and the loads of homework. Nothing really happened this week. I got to go to the housing people everyday to see if my food money has came in, not yet though. On Monday my note taker for both math and architecture dropped the class. My note taker for arch came in later though that day. I don't really need notes for arch though. It took only three or four e-mails and that same number of calls to get her to come in. Also on Monday I got to talk to the guy from DCMA and when I sent him my resumé; he really liked it. But I may not get to work for them until the year because the summer internship/job thing only lasts until the beginning of September. One of the people that works there is trying to see if I can be used for summer and carried over to the regular year. If that is the case and I get to work during the year, they mentioned it may be a full-time job after I graduate. Oh darn! Yesterday morning I an e-mail saying send in your CSE application, well see I looked at it online and I guess I automatically get entered in a database, then the lady asked why didn't I submit one because I am eligable. But then she saw that she looked at the wrong person. Oh well, I am going to in Winter '04. PS- To the guys here at the UW, ?Drumheller has been on everyday this week can you imagine that?

Saturday, June 28, 2003

Today was a blah day. I got a little homework done, but not too much because one, I am having a difficult time with it. It was about 75° all day here in my room. The elevator broke again.
I am making this journal to let people I am doing and that good stuff. So I just finished my first week of Summer Quarter '03! It is goung to be a long quarter I am thinking. I am taking CSE 143, Math 126, and Arch 151. Ben popped over on Friday afternoon and hung out for a bit.
